just tap a thread into the gas cap where the small vent hole is and put a grub screw in it
then use a large o ring in the cap

Apparently some of the one way valves arn't sealing properly mine sometimes leaks so I used a longer tube and put it under the roof

yea mine would be from the one way valve also. I'll grab some longer tube and run it something like you have cabbie.

well this was frustrating me and i had no spare tube around to extend it at the moment. What i did was pop off some little piece of aluminum that holds the bearing in, and chucked two more little bearings i had in there also. This seems to have helped it seal better when it is over and also it now seals much sooner, like if it's on it's side and not right upside down it will seal. I should be able to check it tomorrow to see if it still leaks. Just thought i'd share.

Did fitting the longer tube sort the problem?

Honestly, I have still yet to fit the longer tube. I just have not got around to picking any up yet. It has done alot better with adding a couple extra bearings inside. I actually forgot about getting the longer tube and will do that to now.

There is a problem with a lot of the breather valves, some work fine and others just don't work at all!

I'd advise not to fit this unless you have checked the valve is working correctly.

If I can find the valves cheap enough I'll get a spare and wing it.

I've had no problems with the stock fuel cap and without a breather mod, but i was thinking of trying an FG fuel cap, if they use the same threads Causes when i had my FG marder it spent more time on its roof then on its wheels vand i never had a fuel leak with it

My Baja was suffering from Tank Lock. Do not know why but after about 20 min it would start to bog down and die. Open the fuel cap! put it straight back on and off it would go. Spotted this thread and made tghe mod last week. Ran on Sunday and PERFECT....

This is where i got my valve from.
