Question Name for (hopefully!) new club in Penkridge

Hopefully the farmer is deaf and the sound test next week will give the green light for the new track.

One thing he needs is proof of insurance, and for this I reckon we need to start up a BRCA club, seems the simplest way of arranging insurance. I'm going to give the BRCA a buzz soon just to double check.

And to start a club I need a name for it!

So can you post in this thread either a name, or a vote for an already mentioned name.

Wazza has suggested West Midland RC car club

I'm going to suggest Penkridge Off Road RC

If you join the BRCA as a club i think the club membership is about 75 and with this you get 3 free memberships for your members..

Good luck woth the sound tests and hope you get the track off the ground, could arrange a meet once your sorted..

    like all of these

but i think Penkridge Off Road RC , kind of limits the club to this area only , if you know what i mean , something like midlands rc gives it a wider birth and invites people from a bigger area imo

Technically the track isn't in the West Midlands

But "West Midlands something" seems to be favoured so far...

    Hi Mate,

Nope, fraid not. So close though

The farmer wanted too many pennies in my opinion to make it viable (50/week, every week running or not), and in the first instance the track area we could have had would have been less than great.

I think, with the peeps we have turn up at Oak Park (Brownhills) we still have enough potential members to set up a club and could probably afford 25-30/week every week.

I have spoke to another farmer just outside Brownhills and he seemed 'receptive' but have to wait until the current hay crop is harvested - August time.

Do you run at Oak Park with us?
