Sorry, sounding a bit thick here!!!

Any chance you could explain in easy steps?

    Cheers very much.

Exactly that mate, cut it where you want to fit the connectors, strip the wire back and solder making sure you get red to red and black to black.

Little tip, secure the connectors down with a bit of bluetac, there tiny little things and you'll struggle to hold them while you solder them

    Any problems just ask

5mm is a bit too big.

3mm would be better for shrinkage.

I bought a job lot of 10 microdeans from HK on eBay a while ago with heat shrink included but can't for the life of me find them

hi topper, may sound daft but are those type of kill switches operated via radio?

Yes these kill siwtches are operated from the radio, eg spare or 3rd channel, but also kick in automatically under certain conditions - as a 'failsafe'. See here for some more info...

Hi mate , The kill switch can be used in Two ways.

1/ When signal is lost through either a problem with battery power or a break in the signal, the kill switch will kill the spark to the engine, causing it to stop.

2/ In some cases you can wire in a way that it works as in the above answer but also via a switch (3rd channel) to manually kill the engine.

i hope this helps. i run a Killer Bee V1 with a spektrum DX3E radio.

cool, where can i get one of these kill swithes?
the radio gear i got with the baja (hpi-10 tfm) (i think the standard gear) has got 3 channels, but can't see where the 3rd channel is operated?
also is this gear up to the job? I'd rather get new radio gear than smash up my new found obsession because the radio gear fails..........
    thanks, lubaru1980
