OBR Full Mod Long Block 29.5

Hi all, Im looking at upgrading my current SS CY 26cc engine, Ive narrow my search to the OBR Full Mod Long Block either 27.2/ 29.5 or 30.5? could somebody please advise me which would be the best all rounder to go for? & would my SS engine parts be a direct fit clutch carrier/coil etc? thanks in advance

I would seriously recommend looking at the Pro MX G305 long block. Cheaper and UK supported.

thanks for the reply I will definently consider this, is there a delivery charge on top from MMR? Ive been offered the OBR for the the same price delivered, cheers

Yes all your parts will fit as for which one the 29.5 is a good mix of both the other engines ...

I've ran both engines, and although they are very similar in performance i would say the OBR was the better engine.

I'm also running a OBR 30.5 Full Mod and love it, and with the new UK support makes it even better.

The thread was about transferring parts from his old CY to his new Zen OBR and Gareth perks up and starts on about Pro MX's and that they wont be beaten on price etc.

I prefer the 27.2's over the 30.5's, it used to provide more RPM's over the torquey 30.5 which I found better when paired with a low end pipe like a rear dom. Things have progressed though and I don't think there is much in either but still for old times sake I run 27.2's.

SS parts will be a direct fit to the zenoah so a longblock will have you up and running as long as you stick to the full mod range and not the long rods.

Ive got the 4 bolt OBR 27.2 full mod and its a screamer runs my sandrail like a dream good acceleration just put higher gears in keeps up with em all,ive also got a stock 26cc in my 5T and that has been a cracking engine,just the right amount of power for where i run,ive had a couple of OBR top ends 28.5 2 bolt and they have been good one of the heads cracked was replaced straight away,customer service has always been good,so many choices out there

I think that over 50% of Miniripper's comments is anyfrom for makreting MMR produckts. I dont think i have seen a tread where any asks something about motor problems, what do buy for a specific price, lets say 150 quid to max 250.
I think i have seen miniripper on every sigle of those treads to promote MMR's motor's even it might be the doubble of the price the treadstarter asked for.

You dont any other engine builder or shop do that in these kinds of treads exept Miniripper.

Hasnt anyone noticed this too? Its very "slimy" way to pormote things.

Im sure of that too and the next engine i'll buy will most likely be a pro mx 30.5
