Bad idea unless its a shelf queen...

It was easy, page by page ticking off the box's

We need these torx sets, stainless are crap and so are some of the stock bolts. It seems to be only the larger flat head screws and the button head screws that round off, the cap heads and smaller flat heads are fine imo.

Stainless can be a bit soft and round off fella,

I use it in plastic and in nylock nuts, but never in anything like engine mounts turtle quick diffs or anything that requires a bit of loctite! Or is metal to metal contact in general!

Did it once and ended up drilling 6-7 out it was no fun

What do you think of wheelspin
It's the nearest store to me

    Hi Bill.

Wheelspin is even nearer to me and I have quite a bit of experience with them over the years, mostly bad.

They are fairly competitive price wise with their internet prices for stock spare parts and models, but very rarely honour those prices in store. They are not experts in largescale and so prices for HPI Baja upgrades are higher than you might pay elsewhere.

When you buy a model from them they only will want to see you again if you want to buy more parts or more kits. But if you have a problem you are either fobbed off with "go to the manufacturer" or told its "tough, not their problem".

I reluctantly use them as total last resort and only for small things. One of the last times I was in there I saw them sell a poor chap a 30+ alloy air filter for the Baja telling him that it was much better than the stock one. Lies.

And as for what they have in stock, don't believe the web site. Although they do stock a lots of models, they don't stock that much in the way of spares/parts. Many parts are listed as 'Shadow stock' or even listed as 'In stock'. But when you place the order or phone them up they say it is in "their other warehouse". Lies again, unless they own the CML distribution or HPI distribution warehouses - which I don't think they do .

What are you thinking of using Wheelspin for?

    Ive
My SHORTY proves size doesn't matter!
