    Default Kraken cage panels

    Hi guys,

im wanting to make my own panels for my Kraken cage, whats the best to use? was thinking either LEXAN POLYCARBONATE SHEET or POLYPROPYLENE SHEET,
i know the Lexan sheet is available clear so can paint to whatever colour i choose but the Polypropylene sheet has very limited colours available but just wondered if anyone had used either to know which one would be more durable and easy to work with?

    cheers Paul

cheers Paul, but was really wanting to go the clear route so could do my own design on the reverse.
been looking on ebay and its not that expensive so might just get some of both and try them out and see what they are both like to work on, how easy they are to bend/shape and how each holds up.

will post a thread up once ive got the parts and do a build up

clear side panel and rear panel cut, shaped and test fitted,

bonnet cut, shaped and test fitted, (fits fine but in trying to keep the original shape of the bonnet and the heat needed to get this shape without the use of a former has caused the Lexan to bubble so need to redesign the bonnet a touch)

new shape template test fitted to see how it looks

    cheers mate,
just wanted to try something different and as i couldnt find any readymade clear panels for the Kraken cages i set about making my own so had to change the design slightly but think its coming out ok.

Looking well....take your time heating then bending the front as too hot too quick will make it bubble...
