Well I have been gathering all the parts for a long time and am now assembling the thing. Never built driven or had anything to do with Bajas b4 so If you spot something wrong please let me know and by the way happy new year, hopefully this will be ready in the spring.IMG_0252.jpgIMG_0254.jpgIMG_0255.jpgIMG_0256.jpg

have you enough room for them to go through the front top arms cause there seems to be a lot of thread sticking out of your rose joints ?

You're right I have since cut the threads back. I thought I would use Losi m6 rose joints looked a lot more beefier than stock but they were for turnbuckles and left threaded ( bad mistake ) so I will probably end up using stock upper front joints only problem is i drilled upper A arms to m6. Live and learn I guess.

doesn't matter cause most rose joints are a snug fit into the arms and when the bolt I tightened its even better ..

    looking really good ,
did you weld up the rail yourself from a kit?
or was it a pre built rail?

Thanks I wish I could weld that good, but no I picked it up from Roofchopper in the summer welded and powder coated, it really is a work of art.

the satin black powder coat is nice as well,
are you going for the stealthy look?
or are you gonna put on a load of shiny bling?

Not really into stealth or bling, I haven't got a theme, this is for my son he wanted matt black and my wife wanted purple so she will be getting purple wheel nuts. I just want it to be as strong as possible for here in the sand dunes. I have some great stainless steel mesh for windows. Going to see how it develops.

    Cheers

    Hiya fella,
I see your using a set of my limiting cables, if there too long/short for the rail get in touch with me and will get you sorted out as remember when cosmic Jim built his he was having issues with the standard baja length cables, but if you do have any issues just pm me and will get you sorted mate 😉
Build is looking good though 👍👍👍

I WILL have one of Roofchoppers rails one day lol

    IMG_0275.jpgIMG_0272.jpgIMG_0271.jpg

I v'e still got to put the Dom on, lights, sort the steering out and the brake/carb connections also thinking about more sand protection my wife is handy with making clothes she suggested a sort leather material like on motorbike seats to cover the front end and sides so might try that, also waiting for the RCR brake kit.
