I'm gonna have to try some thicker oil in my big bores when I re-build them (and the rest of the car) ready for the next bashfest. I know tyres and driving style is going to be a huge factor but could oil that's too thin help a car spin out. Before I wrote the front end off I spent most of my time on the track spinning in circles.

To be fair I think the bajas defending on the weight actually go a bit better on the softer side. Obviously everyone is different but I've tried to have mine on the softer side without it creaming itself in to the deck on big air. I've kind of tried to go for a balance between the two, hence the progressive springs on the front and mid progressive on the back. It's a bit of trial and error till you find what's best for you. But I think they corner better if the suspension is on the softer side. I think if it's a bit firmer the car just bounces and looses traction which will also cause you to spin out. Just have a play and experiment a bit

Just realised I wasn't actually running any sway bars either (long story) so whether that made things worse or not I don't know. Had mini MX's on the back too.

I know I'm a crap driver, but if I can at least get the car set up better I might stand a fighting chance lol

Have a look at the pics above mate and see if that helps show if it could be mounted to your rail or not 👍

the alloy ones are the best but Kev isn't making anything at the mo because hes having a break from Baja stuff for a while .... bleed your shocks with the bottom ball joint screwed of the shock shaft then put the spring and retainer on and screw the bottom ball joint on again ....

its crap trying to bleed the shocks with the springs on it cant really be done ....

the alloy ones are handy but its just as handy unscrewing the bottom ball joint for bleeding ....

I have the metal slotted retainers, It makes it easier to whip the spring off for cleaning without unscrewing the bottom eye.....owt for the easiest me. I can't comment on the Deralin ones as only ever had the metal ones on

you want slotted ones as like SI says it makes it easy to take the spring off for cleaning .... I wouldn't buy the alloy ones cause there is no slot ....
