gary mate, use general gaffer tape mate,
you can use gorrila tape but its a bit thick and creases, so i used some thinner stuff from the local car parts place/ halfords, etc,
the way i did it was spray glue the outside of the foam,
then one full layer of tape with a i inch overlap,
then spray glue that layer of tape and a second layer of tape that covers the the first layers joint ,
so the joints are 180 degree to each other,
again with a i inch over lap,
let the stink from the glue go off a bit,
    then fit em,
mine are all stock foams and not failed yet mate

I've never used anything other than stock or the cheaper blue foams and never had 1 blow when i gaffa tape them..i generally wrap a round the tape 3 times, with the 5B rears being wider i'd start from 1 side and make the tape cover edge to edge in 1 continual go..

Just buy a decent Gaffa tape and all should be good..

Ive used gorilla tape on some prolines years ago like spents said thick stuff so didnt overlap it,just a strip down the centre after turning the tyres inside out

hes using Hostile Mini tyres and the foams were soaking wet but we didn't know they were wet ... it just blew the tyre out of the bead lock at the rear of the wheel and the tyre is still ok ... the foam must have ballooned big time to push the tyre off and the foam is ripped as well so im just gonna fit the standard foams I have and tape them up mate ....
