    Default Engines to go for 9hp

    I want an engine around the 9hp mark.

    I've read up loads on the Scz 290 and seen a few threads on here about them but I get torn easily.

    Been looking at our full mod g320 reed case but again I hear good and bad things.

    I'd actually really like the engine billet aswell.

    Is there any others you may of had experiences with at that hp

    I'd take the Hp figures and just use those for having a laugh in the pub with a few mates.

    I'd sooner go off YouTube vids on what they go like, it's more reliable data.

    But those 2 engine couldn't be any different, ones got the torque ones got the revs id take revs over torque personally but just depends what you want.

    I do short distance jumping so want something with a bit of poke but i also love seeing what speeds i can get with some long distance blasts.

    Got a 2 speed so can play with gearing.

    I have been looking at the scz for some time and see that you can get it with a billet case .

    i currently have a ported 30.5 fulie

    Well I'm not gunna advise on what's best for you that would be wrong, but plenty of info out there on both engines.

    But I think your mistaken the scz don't have a billet case, the only thing billet on it is the heat sink.

    If you want revs, you don't want a 32 or 34... They aren't designed to be high revving engines, in fact if you rev them too much they are prone to fail.
    As Dean said, hp figures are pub talk... Nothing more, most of them are inaccurate and you're never going to really use the hp fully if you're just bashing and messing around.
    Also as Dean said, I wouldn't say what engine is right or wrong.
    I would however, consider changing your outlook on what you want.
    Go with what actually works and what does what you need, rather than something that can 'maybe' hit a certain hp figure, in 'lab style' situations.

    Not just engine but pipe also as me and dean had the SCZ and I struggled to hit 19999 with the pipe I had.
    But I did beat a g32 for a fiver 😂😂😂😂

    I'm sure i could have got 21k in the right situation Arron but had to settle for 20880 now i use a petal that's middle of the road so get a poxy 20500 give or take a few revs.
    So not just pipes but also petal tuning but that also applies to any reed putting mine on a mini diet now

    Yeah been looking at a pipe also.

    Just want good value for money ie I'm not fussed on price if I'm getting something good and worth the money and is a good all rounder
