until the front end is mounted to the chassis and the steering wiper system is in place , i want to minimise anything that might cause contact ( nyloc on the lower bolt ), thats why i packed the shims on the front side, if i have to make any modification i will add it to this post,

i have removed the front lower bolt and refitted the stock pins and circlips for now
the clearence of the wiper arm and access for removal of the nyloc, needed to much removal work to the wiper arm and chassis for my liking
will probably look into keith's ( MR- M ) modded pins for this area at a later date

    nice mod
i have just done the e clip mod, works sweet
been up the local woods, let her have some
    all ok so far
    i welded a washer to the m5 bolt,grind smooth
tap m5 thread in the hub hole, tap went straght in,
not need a tapping drill first
thread lock the bolt, and in it went
also done the steering mod too,bit alley plate, four holes
    works well too,go team
    well we have a,gr fastners too,in avonmouth,bristol
so i pop round ,grab a handfull of bolts, and try that mod too
looks good,e clip design is ok,mainly for there profit margin
make them and sell them, then owners problem
    thanks for the detailed pics,sizes
take the guess work out of the job

    Hi Guys,
Out of curiosity does any one know the best place to get these bolts from, Ive looked everywhere.
The ones I've found seem to be threaded all the way down? I've checked ebay, B&Q, screwfix, Homebase.

Any info would be good. Cheers

Thanks bud, but he said himself that it didnt work since the servo arm was hitting the bolt/nut.

So i was wondering if anyone had tested it with a thinner nut or a bolt with a thin head?

I did this mod on my sons car and used button head bolts in front lower arms, cap heads in others with no issues will be doing it on my new build too, got all the bolts from here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2211072696...84.m1439.l2649
