not a very long or exiting update,
but re routed the wiring today,
its much tidier and out the way now ,
    especially the kill switch wires,
I modded the engine mount while it was off so I could tuck the kill switch wires away and it holds the grey interference doodads nice and snug now ,
couple of pics below, and as always, thanks for lookin ,

also synced the carbs so there bob on for opening the flutterbys,
fuel lines back on and fastened up,
heatsink back on along with the tto temp sensor wires under the plugs,
big fan temporarily fitted , needs to come back off again to do the wiring up between the carbs, but test fitted just to make sure I got it right ,
oh, and the centre drive shafts carrier doodad refitted as well,
    a few pics below,
and as always, thanks for lookin ,

a bit further with it again ,
battery box back in, wiring done and refitted the tto's,
took a while to do the wiring cos I re routed some of it so its more out of the way ,
also did most of the fan wiring, that just needs a couple of finishing touches to it now,
its getting rather busy around the engine again now though ,
but should soon be up and running again, and should be better with the mods I made,
    few pics below,
and as always , thanks for lookin ,

    ok doki then ,
its now back to where it was before I took it to bits , only better now ,
finished off with filters back on, throttle linkage and brakes set up again,
    pipes back on etc etc,
just needs a few heat cycles on the new rings and a tootle around for a bit then back to thrashing it ,
I also weighed it, it comes in at 22.19kg with a dry tank but everything else needed to run it, main battery, fan battery an all that stuff,
winter time it will go on a diet cos I is sure I can get it at least 2kg lighter ,
    some pics below,
and as always, thanks for lookin ,

    thanks gary mate ,
and yep, I aint a big fan of the jubilee clips either, the silicone hose I have at moment is a bit crap though, I need some better stuff, already tried zip ties but they wernt wide enough and just came undone when the pipes got hot,
but have some really big wide ones now, so when I get some better hose I will zip tie both pipes ,

Couple of runs at bashfest, 1st run i broke a front diff cup so replaced that, i only put the diff back in upside down so the front wheels would drive back and the rear forward - head scratching moment for a while as couldn't work out why it wouldn't drive lol..2nd run was going well until the front brakes would come on when i came off throttle, the brake rod linkage was getting trapped in the brake cam eyelet rod, took me an age to line it up, after that i couldn't be bothered so got the beer out for the rest of the weekend..
Also sold my OCBaja losi 5b while i was down there to Biscuits, now have a new tlr losi 5b and just bought another tlr 5b off a mate so building them 2 up atm..

lol ian, I've done the upside down front diff thing as well ,
sat there scratching my head saying that aint right ,
to be honest though you just busted a few things, I've broken one or two parts now but I expect to break more as well,
I think that way about all 5th scale cars,
the brake rod thing , I had to bend mine a bit to get them to work perfect, one bent up a bit and one bent down a bit,
and yes the tlr 5b's , hope they work out well for you ,
I know I have a pm from you as well mate, I will answer that in a bit, I is behind with things, as usual ,

    just a quick one today,
did a couple of heat cycles on the new rings ,
hammer had been left a couple of days to see how it started , well one pull on choke and one on no choke and it was going ring da ding ding ,
couple of minor tweeks on the low needles and its running bob on at low speed,
temps are mint as well, cylinders within 3 or 4 degrees c of each other,
needs a run out now though,
    just one pic below,
edit; if anyone notices the temps on tto's are way apart, the tto's cycle between current temp and max temp recorded,
just in case anyone sees there not reading as I said above ,
edit again: yes I know I should have videoed the heat cycles, but its me, I is a numbnut and took a pic instead ,

and as always, thanks for lookin ,
