yeh the gearings taking some working out dre ,
but have an idea now mate,
and I don't think many have been customised much yet either, the biggest engine I've heard of in one is a 40cc single,
the platforms only been out over here since may, so custom ones are only just gonna be starting to be built I reckon

quick update, half stripped the hammer so I can get some measurements and that,
looks like I may have to make a custom chassis after all though ,
I am also gonna put a post somewhere else on the forum with a request for info on a part,
quick pic below, not the best of pics for some reason though,
    as always, thanks for lookin

took the twin out of the baja again today for mock up and measurement checks an that,
defo needs an extended chassis, so will get a sheet of alloy plate and make a start on that as soon as I can,
needs 30mm minimum, but will probably extend 35mm just to be sure for clearance ,
twin will defo go in though , albeit a tad tight ,
it will need a few mods though, like reposition coils , new flywheel side engine mount etc etc, but that's why I'm attempting this cos it aint gonna be easy ,
pipes could still be an issue but have some more ideas now,
    a few pics below,
    and as always,
    thanks for lookin ,

Paul is it going to be unbalanced on one side because of the engine sitting sideways ?

nah gary, shouldn't be too bad once finished, the pipes will run to the battery box side and I will pocket the new chassis on the engine side to help balance everything out mate,
original chassis is pocketed now as well for that reason I think,
the twin is only about 1kg or so heavier than a 34 pro mx so should be able to get it balanced ok

Get the new chassis drawn up first Paul make a nice corn template just to make sure it's gunna fit with 35mm extension, are you going both length and width on the new chassis?

lol dean i'll get one of my famous templates drawn up then ,
but nah mate, i'm 99.9% sure a 35mm extension on the length will be plenty of room, its still gonna be tight but it will work,
and only the length needs a bit added on dean, width ways has plenty of room

the alloy turned up for the chassis today,
the new chassis needs 35mm more in length, but ordered the alloy at 45mm extra length just in case and correct width,
pic below, this is gonna take a while I thinks ,

    5mm thick dre, 6068 T651,
and lol it will be an exact copy of the hammer chassis but just a tad longer with the rear engine mount holes and centre diff and a few other bits moved towards the rear,
and a few other bits n bobs shuffled around a tad

lol thanks dean, i'm hoping all goes well an all mate ,
73 holes I need to get in the right places though, plus the spur slot , then outer shape,
but the three bends have to be done last and there gonna be tricky to get just right,
fingers crossed I get it right ,
but if not, then will have to do over

That some project you got going on there this time, but you always crack it in the end. Probably the worlds first ever hammer twin. I'll be well chuffed for ya when it's sorted.

yeh its a big project si,
I do have most of it worked out in my head but that will change loads as I go along I think ,
and yeh, its not been done yet with the twin, so I think it will be the first ,
I bet someone beats me to it now I've said that ,

Lol Paul blaming the phone for that one, just as well one understands yaksha mate ha ha.

Bends easy part considering what's ahead mate, hardest parts getting the holes right pockets and spur cut out will have a large tolerance considering
