    thanks dre ,

also use this as a quick update post as well,
so, I pulled the bell carrier off and yep, the clutch is contaminated with grease, will see if it will clean up, if not i'll just fit my spare clutch,
also the car is covered in grease from the split boots along the centre drive shafts, so pulled the engine out and will de grease everything ,
defo dry lube and in booted from now on, apart from front inner joints and maybe the rear axle joint, they will be better left greased ,
brakes are also covered as well so lots of de greasing to do ,
the grease is 100% my own fault cos the hammer runs dry joints as stock but I wanted to see if booted and greased would work,
also i'm gonna up the gearing again cos the twin pulls those gears way too easy,
maxed out on the spur , but I think a 28t pinion can be used from what I worked out,
so that will be blackbone pinion and bell needed now,
that's an increase of 4 teeth from the 24t that's on there at moment,
    anyways, a few pics below,
    and as always,
    thanks for lookin ,

    another update ,
the diff pinion bearings were also knackered, cages were coming apart, so replaced those,
rebuilt the front diff with new parts and fid alloy case ,
and checked and built up the rear axle and centre diff,
front diff now has thicker oil in as well cos 10k wt was way too thin,
    a few pics below,
    and as always ,
    thanks for lookin ,

    update again ,
right, as the engine was out anyways and the twins had 40 to 45 tanks through it now, I decided to pull the heads and check the rings and general internal condition,
but first the clutch that was contaminated, well it was only surface contamination as it turned out so a bit of sandpaper and its good to go,
very little wear on the clutch as well so that's a bonus,
right the engine, both cylinders are barely worn and platings just polished a tad inside, one small mark on clutch end cylinder where the ring gap is, but nowt bad,
pistons are also very very good and barely marked at all,
burn pattern on both pistons is very similar so that's good news as well,
bottom ends very very clean and has a nice coating of oil in there,.
now the rings are both worn equal and are bang on the max linit for wear according to the Zenoah spec list,
so its getting a fresh pair of rings and that's about all that's needed ,
so all round, I is well happy wi that ,
a few pics below, and as always, thanks for lookin ,

    update again ,
got some parts today so got a bit done,
de carboned the piston tops and cleaned the heads etc,
fitted new rings and gaskets and refitted heads and torqued down, left the heat sink off for now cos may need a mod doing for bigger fan clearance,
refitted clutch, clutch still reversed cos seems to work really well that way on the twin,
changed bell carrier bearings to larger 15mm inner bore ones for blackbone bell,
i'm 99% sure this bells gonna work but may need a tad of jiggery pokery spacer doodads to get bob on ,
wont know till the pinion comes whats needed though and that's on back order,
a few pics below, and as always,
    thanks for lookin ,

    quick update,
    did this yesterday,
degreased the chassis and various other parts that got covered, then refitted front diff with alloy case,
also refitted rear axle and centre diff, well the main driveline ,
wheels back on and just waiting for my pinion so I can sort the blackbone bell out and make sure it fits right,
then a few other mods to a couple of bits n bobs then engine can go back in,

    few pics below,
and as always, thanks for lookin ,

yeh your right gary, prob cut em down mate ,
I think fid left the fronts long cos they sell shock limiting cables for em as well,
but has grubs for limiting the travel in the front a arms and shocks are always compressed a tad when fitting em so yep, bolts can get shortened ,

and gary mate, guess what we just ate ? it was amazing
