I am thinking of a HPI spot pipe or a Dominator pipe

Yeah side pipe mid to high revs would suit it I reckon when I had a 23cc I went from the piggytail hpi sspipe to a dom and it was a world of difference on power and topend, now you can buy those cheap clone side pipes for 40 which would prob give you an even better topend without starting with gearing combos etc

Totally agree with Dre. A stock 23 engine is a little Demon mate
They can rev the nuts off a 26 or even a 32.
Leave it be and try a Dom on it.
Honestly mate they fly like the wind

I've a Dom exhaust fitted to my 23cc engine , I also run a lightened flywheel which helps .

Flywheel lightening service, manufacturer of ,baja cage risers, piston stops ,H/D spring perches for Standard shocks and IRC shocks ,rear cuffs ,spiked wheel nuts for the baja and losi 5ive ,general machining offered for all your baja needs pm for details

Personally I'd spend the money on a pipe to give you some more grunt . And then later if you want to put a larger engine in it or up grade kit you still have the pipe as well.

On the negative side, you can't go sticking tall gears on a 23 and hope it will speed it up....what you would gain in speed...you lose in revs.
I think Ryan on this site used to run his 23 with a Dom and 18/56 gears and it would keep up with my 32 all the way, I just could not shake him off.
