    Wink Inner Tube Shock Socks

Gotta be the best bang for buck sock imo.

Get ya **** down Halfords and buy a 26" x 1.5" inner tube

They sucker up real tight and keeps all the crud off the main body and springs, very easy to clean, just wipe down and dry (no need to machine wash)

You can get at least 8 socks out of 1 tube

I recommend removing them after running, I didn't and found 2 of the springs had started to rust.

Yeah check your springs, mine have rusted like hell...I have some new springs so will replace them soon.

A quick tip aswell spray some wd40 in the tube then fit slides over nice and easy.

think i may try running without socks if the innertubes are causing the springs to rust , not sure if the DDM ones i am running are treated against rusting though

added bonus is my billet perches and hemi risers will be there for all to see

Hasn't really stopped them from rusting on mine but I didn't use a great deal of WD40.

Yep...place the shock on the floor, and stretch the tube as wide as you can then slide over the shock...I found some WD40 helped it to slide on...it is a pain in the **** to do but is a well worth mod.

Never noticed any with mine, had them on for months.

I guess if you run in a lot of gritty, wet areas and don't clean up after you, it will eventually cause the coating on the springs to wear and rust.

I dont think they make the springs rust any more or less than with any other shock socks, best thing is to peel the top back while the thing dries out, been using these for over a year now and the springs are fine, and the best thing is you dont see the rust ..win win
