    Hiks Product Review
    http://www.baja-forum.co.uk/showthre...ook-and-review

Hiks first look and general questions post.
    http://www.baja-forum.co.uk/showthre...-shocks-thread

also some tips on filling shocks, dont mean to tell you how to suck eggs, but some people like to hear what i find best way to do these shocks is

    remove shock cap,
remove air bleed screw from shock cap (dont lose it),
fill shock with piston at the bottom, filling to the top of the shock body with oil.
then gently work the piston up and down afew times, to remove any large air pockets under the piston etc.
    top up body if needed.
place shock cap onto shock, doing it tightly & firmly up.
work the piston up and down again nice and gently, air and excess oil should now come out of the cap bleed hole,
put the bleed screw back in place once happy there is no air.
check shock does not bind or go solid before getting to the top of its stroke, if it does repeat the bleed process.

    Shock Filling Guide
some tips on filling shocks, a quick step guide to fill these bad boys and get them running smooth..

    remove shock cap,
remove air bleed screw from shock cap (dont lose it),
fill shock with piston at the bottom, filling to the top of the shock body with oil.
then gently work the piston up and down afew times, to remove any large air pockets under the piston etc.
    top up body if needed.
place shock cap onto shock, doing it tightly & firmly up.
work the piston up and down again nice and gently, air and excess oil should now come out of the cap bleed hole,
put the bleed screw back in place once happy there is no air.
check shock does not bind or go solid before getting to the top of its stroke, if it does repeat the bleed process.
Shocks should compress all the way fully compressed with out any problems.

hope this somewhat helps, if you have questions or anything just PM or Email us,

Tip from Clayton @ Vertigo Performance

There is also another way that requires no bleeding. Losi shocks were always fill from the bottom.
As stated Tighten the top cap on, remove bottom cap, fill shock, install bottom cap leaving just loose enough so oil can get out.

SLOWLY!!! REAL SLOW!! compress the piston all the way then tighten cap while holding the piston at full compression.. These like the Losi shocks should work great if assembled this way.

Yes gav, once i get them in, ill get shocks on site, and also there will be a drop down box, which you would like with your shocks.
only the rod ends can be in a different colour.

I am going to have to add my opinion here..

There is one thing about these shocks I DON'T like..

I prefer to run my 5T stock except Vertigo Parts of course.. I am going to have to purchase a set of these shocks now and THIS I don't like

Finally an upgrade that we don't make that I find useful that doesn't just add weight or looking pretty..

    Nice work Rob!!!

Vertigo, thanks for your comments it means alot to us, I have been looking at your products aswell and noticed how well you reply to the guy's on this forum in saying this, if you do buy a set of innovative shocks, i know you have your own way of setting the pistons and the oil in which you use, Let us know how they work on your 5T or 5B Which ever. Ted.

I've been trying to cut back on spending on my baja, but I don't think I'll be able to resist this one. I love hitting big jumps and while I have had no issues really with my DS shafts and ends, I WANT these

couple things I need to check first though:

as mentioned, are they compatible with hemiboots? I don't see any issues and I think I read in the other forum you will soon let us know.

Also I run in sand... alot. Many times it can be very fine sand. Not only that I run in sheep poo, they keep the grass short but poo all over the place I usually do a good amount of work keeping my shock shafts clean. Will there be shock shaft boots available similar to the stock ones? Or, are they not required? I do believe from reading they are somewhat self cleaning shafts? Can they still not get access build up of crap though?

    and finally? Price please
