Default 29.5 Wild Child build thread from Dog Pile Racing

This is a few picks I snapped from a build I completed for a customer. These are customer supplied parts to build a Dog Pile "Wild CHild" motor. These are also available as long blocks and complete engines from my web site. www.DogPileracing.com

Here is everything as I took it out of the box.

Here is a pic of the completed lower end. Notice the top of the cases have been lapped for a better gasket seal and the added oil hole to keep the clutch side bearing lubed up for longer life. +1mm stroker crank added also.

Here is the piston all centered up in the lathe ready to be relieved. This Minimizes the risk of cold siezures. After looking at this pic I think I should buy a new guage. That one has treated me well for many years and it looks like it.

An after cut pic of the piston. .006 was removed.

Here she is with piston installed after a squish check.

36mm Zenoah cylinder before porting. No after pics. If you want to see that you will have to buy one.

Motor is fully assembled now and has been bench run to heat cycle the motor a few times before it gets shipped out. Not all "Wild Child" motors get heat cycled before they ship but this customer had shipped all the parts for a complete motor so I was able to fire it up. These motors or any custom motors are available through me. Visit my web site for more details. WWW.DogPileRacing.com or just drop me a PM.

    Thanks for checking it out
    Bob

The 29.5WC long block is available for $335US and the Complete engine is $499US
I am willing to work with shipping costs to the UK. Multiple engines in one box is a nice way to cut shipping cost also. I'm available most times at rcross@dogpileracing.com for questions.

These mods are also availble in custom builds.

It seems the controler is way more fun to hold then the camera. There are a few videos around. The above one had very little traction. I'll see if I can dig something up.

Yes Nachi bearings. Quest is a division of Nachi. I have tested those extensively the past couple years. Pretty much the only bearing I will use. Only time I would use a different bearing in the engine would be on customer request. And then they would be warned.
